The information we seek from you when placing an order is for billing and delivery purposes or for contacting you if we have a query. When placing an order to purchase goods from Merlin Equestrian, you will be sent a confirmation email confirming receipt of the order and the order details. A contract between you and Merlin Equestrian will only take place once the order has been accepted, processed and items despatched, at which point your credit/debit card will be charged. These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as do we, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including Product Descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. We make every effort to ensure the pictures used to illustrate products on our website are accurate, however in some circumstances pictures are used for illustrative purposes only where product photographs are not available. If you are at all unsure about the item you are buying please phone us for details. If you believe the item you have purchased was represented incorrectly on our site we will provide you with a full refund and reimburse your postage back to us. All products offered for sale by Merlin Equestrian are priced in Pounds Sterling and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Any customs or import duties due when your package reaches its destination country will be your responsibility. Occasionally there may be errors in pricing. If the cost of your order differs from the prices originally quoted, we will contact you, either by telephone or email, to request your instructions on how to proceed. Prices listed on our website may differ from those in our shop. We regret that we are not always able to offer the same discounts on items purchased in store. Merlin Equestrian reserves the right to affect changes and these will be notified to you at the time of ordering. Payment is taken immediately by our online payment provider Paypal. Paypal offers a secure payment gateway for online credit and debit card processing. By handling our payments in this secure manner it ensures no persons at Merlin Equestrian ever view your card details. If you decide to cancel your order or we cannot fulfil an order, a full refund will be issued to your card via a second Paypal transaction. Do not email your card details. We can accept no responsibility if you provide us with your details in this way. Card fraud is illegal and will always lead to prosecution. Merlin Equestrian take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering using our website. Payment can also be made by cheque. Please make all cheques payable to Merlin Equestrian. Please allow 14 working days for payment to clear before your items are dispatched. Items will only be dispatched once your cheque has cleared.
We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in fully resalable condition. Please check the condition of your parcel on delivery prior to signing for acceptance. In the event that goods are missing or damaged on arrival please specify against your signature and inform us immediately, within 3 working days, otherwise no claim can be considered. Refunds or exchanges are made in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Under this regulation you have 7 days from the day following receipt of your goods to return them. If you wish to return an item you do so at your own expense (unless the item is faulty); the item must be unused and in its original condition (including tags). This does not affect your statutory rights.
The following is a quick guide to our returns policy:
* You have 14 days to return a non-sale item to us; items must be in their original packaging, unworn and not damaged. A full refund or exchange will be given. * You have 7 days to return a sale item to us for a full refund; you then have a further 7 days in which you can return the item but no refund can be given - you will be offered either an exchange or credit note (valid for 12 months).
* If an item is faulty on arrival you have 14 days in which to contact us for a full refund or exchange. If an item is faulty you will be reimbursed your postage back to us. Items deemed faulty after this period will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis in consultation with manufacturers. * If a parcel looks damaged on arrival do not sign for it; instead refuse the parcel as damaged during posting.
* We offer an extended period of returns at Christmas for goods purchased as Christmas presents. Last return date for Christmas presents is January 10th. If you wish to return an item after these periods you must seek authorisation by telephone. Credit note or exchange only will be offered after 14 days for non-sale items or 7 days for sale items.
